George Mboya is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He holds an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Cranfield University- UK, BSc in Finance and Accounting and HND in Mechanical Engineering. George has been in the logistics field for almost thirty years in Africa, Europe and Asia in government, non-governmental organizations and the private sector in various capacities. He is the founder of CILT (K). CILT Kenya is a membership professional Association founded in 2006 with over 1500 members.

George Mboya has sat in boards of organizations like Adventist Development and Relief Agency – ADRA in Stanborough, United Kingdom, African Forum of Logistics and Transport, CILT Kenya. He has also been Hon Chief Judge of the East African Maritime Awards (EAMA) since 2018 to date – this is an organization run by KPA, KRA, KMA, KeBS to recognize and award the top performing operators in the logistics, transport and maritime sector in the East African region. He has worked for Heavy Engineering Ltd, a structural engineering firm as a production engineer, Reckitt Beinkiser as a maintenance engineer, ADRA in Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda, Kosovo as programmes manager and logistics head, International Rescue Committee in Afghanistan as Logistics head & KPC as a senior supplies officer.

George is an enthusiast of logistics, transport and supply chain and frequently presents on radio and TV on topical issues in these fields. He has also been motivational speaker in schools and colleges to encourage young people to consider logistics as a new frontier among other emerging professions.
